Nigerian Restaurant in London

Image
Today marks a significant day in the history of Nigeria where innocent youth went out to protest for good governance and also to stop the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria police who were given a lot of power that they abuse. They use such powers to steal from innocent Nigerians and sometimes carry out extra-judicial killing. The protest was called End SARS Protest and at Lekki too gate the Lagos state government called on the Military to calm the protest but unfortunately things went south and the souls of good Nigerian youths were claimed when the military open fire on unarmed Nigerian Youth. So we have to raise our flags in blood in the spirit of solidarity and to reaffirm that this guy didn't Japa oh, we went to re-enforce and we shall make Nigeria great again. The date is printed in blood to honour you guys, but we want to talk about a cool Nigerian Restaurant one could go and chill if one find him or herself in London UK. Liberty Stadium

Image
Are you in Ibadan Oyo state and you are looking for a place to enroll your kids to learn karate's 🥋 or any sport of their choice, then the Liberty Stadium is a place to go check that out. It is located at liberty road ring road in Ibadan Oyo State. The Stadium was created in 1960 which happens to be when Nigeria became independent. As a memorial of that event, the regional prime minister then Chief Obafemi Awolowo named it Liberty Stadium but, it was renamed after the Prime minister as the Obafemi Awolowo's stadium by the then President Goodluck E Jonathan. He was inspired after paying a visit to the widow (the wife of the late Awolowo) Chief Hannah Awolowo in 2010. For easy navigation, I would advise you call the place liberty stadium so one could get easy direction. Apart from the main standard football Pitch of 25,00 seating capacity,  it also host, a standard swimming pool, Tennis Court, volleyball court, handball court, hockey pitch, basketball court etc. There are othe...

Ileya Festival

Image
Hangout Nigeria is a blog that tell of events or occasion that brings people together for majorly fun. This period, I believe we have discussed new yam festival which happens at the end of June to October depending on the ethic group one belongs in Nigeria. We had also discussed the Islamic holiday in the post, "where is my ram". It was said in the post that Eid al-ahda was also call Ileya festival in the south western part of Nigeria. We just want to talk about the uniqueness of the celebration in the south west (Yoruba) region of Nigeria. It is always symbolized by the killing of a ram, that was why the first post was titled " where is your ram ". It tells of the story of Abraham and Isaac. The Quran (Islamic holy book) has it's own version of the story but it's a little similar to that in the Bible - I'm a Christian. So let me narrate it the little I could.  Abraham was one chosen of God to be blessed but he suffered having a child with his beloved w...
