Nigerian Restaurant in London
Today marks a significant day in the history of Nigeria where innocent youth went out to protest for good governance and also to stop the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the Nigeria police who were given a lot of power that they abuse. They use such powers to steal from innocent Nigerians and sometimes carry out extra-judicial killing. The protest was called End SARS Protest and at Lekki too gate the Lagos state government called on the Military to calm the protest but unfortunately things went south and the souls of good Nigerian youths were claimed when the military open fire on unarmed Nigerian Youth. So we have to raise our flags in blood in the spirit of solidarity and to reaffirm that this guy didn't Japa oh, we went to re-enforce and we shall make Nigeria great again.
The date is printed in blood to honour you guys, but we want to talk about a cool Nigerian Restaurant one could go and chill if one find him or herself in London UK. I can say from my blog that I wasn't paid to promote any restaurant and because of that, I wouldn't mention the name of the restaurant and the Location. Though it is not a thing of hangout Nigeria because we actually want you to get out of your pajamas and go out to somewhere your body would feel well.
A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. (Prov 17:22 KJV)
I might post a little about the place but would conceal the name of the place and the address. If you are a good follower of our post, you would have seen how to commute in London, all you need is a google map, just type in Nigerian Restaurant nearby and it would take you to one of the best restaurant close to you. A Nigerian would always be a Nigerian where every we find ourselves. If you are looking for a cool place to work and get cool rewards on tips, try a Nigerian Restaurant. Let's check out a small spirit of a typical funny Nigerian Man.
So if you want the address, leave a comment and I would give you a channel where you could message me privately and I would sure give you an address.
The ambience of the Nigeria restaurant smells exotic and luxury it is a special place to take a lady on a date. it could even be a good place to propose to a lady and good Nigerian music is played in the restaurant. The steward in the restaurant are not strictly Nigerian but are very lovely people guess it's a culture thing, when we get to Nigeria, we start to bully one another, you get what you want in Nigeria, but you have to fight a little for it. Even if you are spending your money, someone would just want to show you crazy. No wonder they get good rewards on tips.
If we go and examine the food served, one should think because of the difficulty of getting the groceries and recipe that they would be short in supply of the food items served (or demand because of the demography), one would just find basic Nigerian food like Ewa and dodo, Jollof rice and basic food that could be got from any street in Nigeria. You would be surprised that you get to be served palmwine. My Nigerian friends, when was the last time you took palmwine in the city? Right in the heart of London (London Central), I was served palmwine and do you want to guess the soup and food That was served? It's on the video above. I know you would guess vegetable soup? guy take a closer look. This is Afang Soup with pounded yam. One of our blog is searching for some of our Nigerian food that are not common available in the city local Nigerian dish. When I came and saw this soup in London and I noticed how difficult it is to get in Nigeria, then the city of London own my respect. There is something about palm wine if you really want to know about it and how it is got you could look at our blog post on Palm wine and Measles. The soup is made from a leave that is common in cross river state (Calabar) among the the tribe called Efiki and Akwa Ibom tribe of Ibibio. The Igbo people calls it Okhazi leave blended with pumpkin vegetable leave. Though we are not in the Local Nigerian Dish blog but the restaurant did there home work in bringing something of this nature to the city of London. The soup is palatable and finger licking but just lack just one groceries which I believe it's because of the scarcity of the food item in London; and that is periwinkle. I would advise the chef to check out some of the Local Nigeria blogs like ours to get some of the local groceries and recipe for some of our local soup like fisherman's soup, mia cooker etc.
Their toilet, yes trust me, there is no good restaurant that shouldn't have a toilet, I needed to go check it out. The toilet is clean and a place to do your business.
Don't forget to follow our blogs if you still want to keep in touch of some of the places to hangout in London that has Nigerian touch. Let me close like an English man by saying cheerio because they say when you are in Rome, you behave like Romans. So now that we are in London, we behave and speak like the English.
Cheerio !!!1
