Big Brother 9Ja Season 5 Last Party

Image
Yesterday, Biggie organized the last Saturday night party of this season BB9ja show (season 5), it kinda took the form of America high school prom for some housemates. Old evicted housemates were invited to the party and everyone wanted to bond again. Women are really funny, but going out to see things outside the little confinement (bb house) would broaden ones sense of understand about women. Ozo was predicted to end up in the top 5, perhaps win the big brother show; but was evicted a week to the grand finale. I believe fans got tired of watching him fruitlessly chasing Nneji and constantly ignored. Why don't you take a cue from Laycon, he took a shine at Erica and she politely turned him down and went for some rich guy in the house. He still kept his pride as a man and look up to him leaving outside. Many of the ladies would be all over him because his appearance on the show would make him a celebrity. One should learn how to deal with rejection, there is a saying that goes, &q

Kiddwaya one of Nigerians billionaire rich kid who is featured in Big Brother Naija reality TV show had to beg to bring back a lady he was romantically involved with called Erica. She had to loss everything she had won already in the house, leaving her with nothing (puf). Erica is an actress and a media personality. She completed her acting classes in Met film school Uk, where she studied screen acting. She presently have a huge online presence that she occupies the first five search on Google search engine as though she is the only lady with a actual or stage name going by Erica in the world. She was born in Lagos like many persons staying in Lagos, they tend to claim Lagos because they don't travel to there home town. She is from Abia state but raised in Lagos in a Christian family as a only child. Kiddwaya and Erica started their lov

Boiling room (Big brother Naija Season 5)

Image
The show just got a little intense and interesting over the voting of your favourite housemates. It's like everyone is in a boiling room trying to keep their surviving favorite house mate. Many, especially me would miss Tolani-baj. She was evicted last Sunday alongside with Wathoni and Brighto (This seasons game evangelist). Tolani-baj full name Tolani Sobanjo is a 27 year old female vlogger. Yes she's a publisher who release content about Nigeria and have a good number of viewers on her channel. She is also into A&R (Artist and repertoire), they help scout for artist and talent to help grow record labels. Yes, she also know music. You can see, she is the full package. She has worked with record labels like, Universal Music Group, Aristocrats Records, Tooexclusive and Pulse TV. She is not an underpaid artist, she is a media personality that doesn't blow her trumpet. She brought a lot of drama to the house, one this blog wouldn't forget in a hurry was a gbas-gb

Okay the viewers (tagged bb fans) have a big vote to decide who stays and who leaves the house and the first to leave the house was ka3na. Ka3na after telling the fans about her motive in the house lost the vote of a lot of fans I inclusive. You could check a little of what she said on one of our post we titled  Boss Lady  After her statement, reactions from social media give me the impression she might be the first to leave the house. She painted herself to be self made who have no regards for the usual norm of raising a N

Interstate travel and Big Brother Naija show.

Image
We know it is difficult to keep Nigerians from making interstate travels but now, one is permitted to carry out interstate travels officially starting from the 1st of July to 27th of July. This is inline with second phase of the easing down of the lockdown which should start tomorrow the 30th of June to 27th of July. Please note that all travels are only permitted within curfew hours. Part of the easing include resumption of air travels which is yet to commence but the House of Representatives is satisfied with the safety precautions for aviation ministry. A test flight that conveyed members of the presidential taskforce from Abuja to Lagos, was carried out inline with the safety guidelines and was since to be a huge success. We expect the airline to be up and running soon. If transportation is taken care of, then hanging out would be more easier. One just needs to maintain covid-19 precautionary safety guidelines. I would still advise one should travel only if necessary. On

June's New Yam Festival (#COVID-19)

Image
The new yam festival is very a very symbolic activity in Nigeria and it's always celebrated by different tribes starting from the end of June till October depending on the tribes. One according to the tradition is forbidden from eating newly harvested yam till the end of the festival. Traditionally, rituals are done to appreciate their god of harvest and also to apiece the gods for a more fruitful and prosperous years of harvest in all their endeavors. The Igbo tribe hold this myth that yam was discovered during famine and they were told to sacrifice two humans to make them escape the famine.  So Ahiajoku and Ada was sacrificed; it was  later that where Ahiajoku was buried sprouted out yam and Ada brought cocoyam. So they see the festival as sacred and to be held in high esteem. They do theirs by killing goats and some tribes, the head of the family places 4-8 tubers of new yam to their shrine and kill chicken, the blood of the chicken is poured in the shrine as a sacrifice.

Ikogosi Warm Spring

Image
It could fade away from history, so it is expedient I remind us that the Ikogosi warm spring which is presently in Ekiti State was once for Ondo State. We should note that the story of Rev McGee was in the 1960's and it is a thing of note that Ekiti State was created from Old Ondo State in 1996. When I was going to Ibadan and I passed the Ikogosi Warm Spring in Ekiti, I was so confused because, I was fed with stories while growing up about the water and was told it was from my state, making me a little bit confused when I saw it in Ekiti State and the so many developed Ekiti State government contributed to the tourist site while there were just faction out of Old Ondo in 1996. The Story is a very heroic story of how someone discovered the source of the art of God's beauty and used it for God’s  glory. The people of Ikogosi attached some level of diabolism to source of Ikogosi. For those who have not heard about the spring, it is a spring that a part of it, produce cold wa

Olumo Rock

Image
One of the state in Nigeria with an anthem is the Abeokuta state; which has produced notable heroes of Nigerian. Names like  MKO Abiola, Funmilayo Ransom Kuti, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Olusegun Obasonjo, Awolowo etcetera are offsprings of that dear state. There again is situated a very notable rock in the heart of the Egba people the city of Abeokuta called Olumo rock. The meaning of Abeokuta in Yoruba language (one of the languages spoken by the Nigerian people), means under a rock. History has it that whenever there is a war, (guessing inter-tribal wars), It was said to be a fortress and some worship it (the rock) as Orisha (an idol). Worshippers of it told a prophecy long time ago that after the 10th king, the city would experience notable development, call it rumours or whatever you like, the city is way different from the way it used to be long ago, maybe prophecy was fulfilled or time brought the development would be a choice I'll leave you to make. The old olumo rock
