Ovia Osese is a festival celebrated Annually by the good people of Ogori in Kogi state. Since this blog is about hanging out, I need to give a little description on how to get to Ogori from Abuja. If you’re driving with a comfortable speed, getting to Ogori shouldn’t take more than 3 hours. You go through Gwagwalada, straight down to Abaji which we know it’s still a local government under FCT. Then one get to kogi state. If you’re scared of meeting new people,  you better consider other hobbies rather than hanging out. If one ask around, one would locate the town Ogori. The Ovia festival was heard this year the 19th of May, 2019. The festival is celebrated to welcome young female maidens to womanhood. Where is your Ram

It's another Islamic holidays coming up on the 31st of July Eid-al-Adha generally called in the south west of Nigeria (Yoruba people), odun Ile ya. The Hausa guys calls it baban Sallah. Literally means big Sallah in English. It is usually celebrated with a ram, I guess that was were Abraham, from the Bible discovered a name for God. It is a name of God now, but according to the story, it was the name of the place, he called it Jehovah Jireh (Genesis 22:14). We were told the story is thesame as in the Quran. This time, Abraham is called Ibrahim. He took is son Isaac called Ishaq to be sacrificed to God, he was about to complete the sacrifice before he was stopped and blessed of God, and a ram was provided by God for the sacrifice.
