Vacation Trip

Vacation is not a culture among most people in life. Going on vacation does not necessarily makes one lazy. It helps calm stress and promote a good and healthy condition for work again. Like the popular saying. All work and no play make Jack a dull boy. Health is wealth and vacation helps promote mental health which is paramount to a good working condition.

We are planning a vacation trip this year in Africa. We shall be going to Ghana and Nigeria. In Nigeria hopefully 22-27 of December we shall be going to Cross River State. They are nicknamed peoples Paradise and proud themselves as African Warmest Welcome. We shall be Visiting Obudu Cattle ranch which is located in the city of Obudu Cross River State (CRS). Many confuse the ranch resort to be located in Calabar the city capital but far from it. It almost 206 miles to the state capital almost 6hrs sitting in the bus. They refer to the resort as Nigeria biggest business resort. Highlight to look out for are the cable car, the hotels and most of Nigerian's top celebrity. We are finalising talks with one of our modeling and travelling agency firm to ensure that our stay in CRS would be fun filled.

We shall from there leave for the city capital (Calabar) to partake in the street Carnival happening every year on the 26th of December. Boxing day anyone interested in joining a Carnival band should notify us. We shall visit the Christmas village and also enjoy some Negro Spirituals at the cultural center for those who are lovers of classic music. We shall enjoy most of the concert which features top Foreign and local celebrity's music and comedy artist. Satellite television (multi choice) west Africa dedicated the whole month of December to showing the event at their event channel (198). We shall visit the slave museum which is not caught on television at marina resort and also visit Tinapa. For those who don't mind dancing we shall be visiting most of the best night clubs in the city capital.

Our focus this year is on slave trade so the major highlight of our visit to Ghana is the slave museum and the Beach party. Not too sure but we are working on a Nigerian Artist to grace the party. We are also going on a boat cruse but our trip to Ghana is intended to be for just 3day. 18th - 21st.

Olumo Rock

One of the state in Nigeria with an anthem is the Abeokuta state; which has produced notable heroes of Nigerian. Names like  MKO Abiola, Funmilayo Ransom Kuti, Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Olusegun Obasonjo, Awolowo etcetera are offsprings of that dear state. There again is situated a very notable rock in the heart of the Egba people the city of Abeokuta called Olumo rock. The meaning of Abeokuta in Yoruba language (one of the languages spoken by the Nigerian people), means under a rock. History has it that whenever there is a war, (guessing inter-tribal wars), It was said to be a fortress and some worship it (the rock) as Orisha (an idol). Worshippers of it told a prophecy long time ago that after the 10th king, the city would experience notable development, call it rumours or whatever you like, the city is way different from the way it used to be long ago, maybe prophecy was fulfilled or time brought the development would be a choice I'll leave you to make. Ovia Osese

Ovia Osese is a festival celebrated Annually by the good people of Ogori in Kogi state. Since this blog is about hanging out, I need to give a little description on how to get to Ogori from Abuja. If you’re driving with a comfortable speed, getting to Ogori shouldn’t take more than 3 hours. You go through Gwagwalada, straight down to Abaji which we know it’s still a local government under FCT. Then one get to kogi state. If you’re scared of meeting new people,  you better consider other hobbies rather than hanging out. If one ask around, one would locate the town Ogori. The Ovia festival was heard this year the 19th of May, 2019. The festival is celebrated to welcome young female maidens to womanhood.
